Mercury plc is the ultimate parent company of the Mercury Group.
The Group owns a diversified asset portfolio that comprises significant portfolio investments with an emphasis on large cap securities listed on the Malta Stock Exchange. The Group also has substantial property investments located in Malta, Italy and the United Kingdom.
The properties have been acquired and or developed over time by pursuing a policy of investing in the long term and accordingly implementing an ongoing substantial plough back of profits into group businesses.

The Group has over the years been able to successfully undertake and implement significantly sized investments which are then held as investments in appropriately resourced and funded subsidiaries.

The property investments held by the Group target the hospitality, health care, commercial, retail and car park sectors.

Operations of property investments are entrusted by the Group investment companies to either Group companies or independent operating companies. The principal activities of the Group operation companies accordingly include the operation of hotels and self-catering accommodation, the leasing of leisure establishments, providing and managing facilities and services for business centres, and a public car park.

Amalgamated Investments SICAV plc (AIS)

The major part of portfolio investments in listed entities are held in AIS which is licensed as a Professional Investor Fund Targeting Qualifying Investors.

Being a Professional Investor Fund Targeting Qualifying Investors the other shareholders in AIS, apart from Mercury, are also mainly registered institutional investors. The NAV of AIS reported in the audited financial statements as at 31st October 2023 was €87.9m.
